Biography
Dr. Roussell has been practicing pediatrics since 2001. She is a native of Louisville, KY. She attended Vanderbilt University as a major of Political Science, with a plan to become a foreign diplomat. However, her love of children and a developing passion for medicine (her father and grandfather were also physicians) soon drew her back to Louisville where she attended medical school and completed her pediatric residency. She practiced general pediatrics at a group practice in Louisville until 2023, where she developed interests in mental health and eating disorders. After deciding to leave corporate medicine, she worked as a locum tenens at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center as part of an interdisciplinary team addressing pediatric obesity. She is currently board-eligible in obesity medicine and would like to continue to use the skills she has learned to help families make healthy lifestyle changes. She is thrilled to join the Southern Pediatrics family at Rainbow Kids Clinic where she hopes to continue helping families to raise healthy, happy children.

Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, Dr. Roussell enjoys keeping up with her 3 adult children and traveling. She is particularly fond of attending music festivals and has been a regular attendee of Bonnaroo since 2014. During her down time, she loves watching sports of all kinds, reading, needlepointing and learning beading.
